Credit Union Code for the Protection of Personal Information Policy and Procedures

Privacy protection is another area in which Bayview demonstrates the strongest of commitments to its members. Canada’s credit unions have always been committed to the protection of member privacy. In fact, Credit Union Central of Canada (CUCC) participated in the process to develop the Canadian Standards Association Privacy Code that eventually formed the backbone of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), of April 2003.

As a member-oriented institution, Bayview Credit Union understands that the personal information of its members needs to be protected to the highest standards. Bayview is therefore committed to complying with all applicable privacy laws, including PIPEDA.
