Member Card® at ATMs

Bayview ATMs
Bayview offers full service Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) with 24 hour access to your account when you need it. In addition to all seven Bayview branches, Bayview has an ATM located at the River Road Co-op in Grand Bay-Westfield.

ATM cards have become the standard in modern banking.  Your Bayview Credit Union Member Card provides instant access to your account(s) at all local Bayview ATMs:
  • Cash Withdrawals: Access cash from your Bayview transaction or savings account when you need it, 24 hours a day. The maximum for any ATM withdrawal with a Bayview Member Card is $500 per day. (limits can be modified with branch and management approval)

  • Deposits: Make a deposit at any Bayview branch ATM directly into your transaction or savings accounts. Deposited funds will be held until verification of the deposit contents - usually the next business day. Additional holds on deposits may be levied depending on account circumstances.

  • Transfers: Transfer money quickly and easily between any of your Bayview transaction and savings accounts. (excludes U.S. Dollar savings account)

Non-Bayview ATMs
Member Card also gives members cash withdrawal access at thousands of ATMs across Canada through the Interac® network, and around the world through the Maestro® and Cirrus® networks.

*Note: A convenience charge of $1.50 is applied to member accounts by other financial institutions for usage of ATMs at those institutions. An additional charge may be applied to the member’s account by Bayview at month end if it is a chargeable transaction based on the account structure.

Direct Payment with Member Card

Direct payment has quickly become the most popular and convenient form of payment in Canada today for the average shopper.  Your Bayview Member Card is the direct link through which you can pay for purchases at local retailers without having to carry large amounts of cash. Just use your Member Card at retailer point of sale machines (POS) and the money will be taken directly and immediately from your Bayview transaction or savings account through use of the Interac network.

*Note: The maximum for any Bayview Member Card direct payment is $1,000 to a maximum of 10 transactions per day.  These limits are standard at time of card issue but can be reviewed.

Personal Identification Number (PIN)

All ATM and direct payment access through use of a Member Card requires members to use their Personal Identification Number (PIN). Always protect the security your Member Card PIN:
  • Do not share your PIN with anyone else. If you are concerned that your PIN has been compromised, call your Bayview branch immediately to have it suspended until you can visit and have it reset.

  • Do not allow anyone else to use your Member Card on your behalf. This is a violation of your Member Card agreement.

  • Do not write your Member Card PIN anywhere, especially on the Member Card.

  • Always cover the keypad on an ATM when entering your PIN.
